Reports to:                            Awards Director                    

Role :                                     Full time, permanent contract

Salary :                                  £26,000 pa and excellent benefits as detailed on our careers page         

Location:                              London E1 and/or remote hybrid role to be agreed

Hours:                                  0930-1730 (Standard office hours) flexibility is required when working to deadlines and covering team hours.                

Purpose of the role:             

The Awards Executive is responsible for the research and development of services pertaining to the design industry, rankings and related community engagement for the D&AD Awards. The Awards Executive will contribute to the research and analysis of designated categories, putting forward proposals to add to the value of the awards, the rankings and related areas ensuring our offering is servicing the needs of the industry.

 Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

Research & Development

  • Coordinate the annual review and development of design specific products
  • Coordinate collation of category and industry feedback and recommendations
  • Conduct and collate competitor research in relevant areas
  • Identify industry trends and propose relevant future facing developments
  • Coordinate focus groups to garner industry insights
  • Collate and present recommendations for improvements to categories and associated products for the design community
  • Research and develop the methodology surrounding D&AD rankings
  • Research and develop new ranking categories to meet industry appetite 


  • Ensure quality concerns are addressed by researching and engaging with agencies and studios that are producing relevant and current industry work
  • Research and provide leads where necessary
  • Follow up on new business leads where necessary to engage new audience segments
  • Actively engage with certain community groups to increase quality submissions and engagement with D&AD

Data / Process Management

  • Ensure all contacts and leads are kept up to date in D&AD’s crm
  • Manage all data relating to entry roles, credit roles pertaining to entry and content collection
  • Manage the review and set up of processes for the collection of all credits and rankings data
  • Manage the running of credit collection process
  • Manage the collation and processing of rankings data to inform results
  • Co-ordinate proofing and checking of awards credits data
  • Cleanse data where required

Outreach & Partners

  • Identify and recommend promotional partners in designated category areas
  • Facilitate cross-promotional agreements
  • Co-ordinate virtual or in person events to and for outreach communities where necessary

Analytics & Reporting

  • Identify and report on category trends to inform planning
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence and any other documents as requested by Management 


  • Supervise and manage workloads of temporary staff to proof and credit entry credits
  • Support the recruitment of temporary staff
  • Work with digital team to ensure systems and processes are set up to requirement for credits collections and rankings / results management
  • Ensure the accuracy of winner’s data, credits and media
  • Co-ordinate the generating rankings results
  • Maintain excellent standard of year-round communications where necessary
  • Support the management of sessional staff during the entry process.
  • Support the Awards Operations team when required
  • Support judging, virtual and on-site where necessary
  • Support the answering of queries where necessary
